Process:

To register a tourism company in Pakistan, follow these steps:

Choose a Business Structure:

Decide on the type of business structure you want for your tourism company, such as a sole proprietorship, partnership, or private limited company.

Name Reservation:

Choose a unique name for your company and check its availability with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). Reserve the name by submitting an application online or at the nearest SECP office.

Company Incorporation:

Prepare the necessary documents, including Memorandum and Articles of Association, Form 1A (Declaration of Compliance), and Form 21 (Notice of Situation of Registered Office). Submit these documents to the SECP along with the required fee.

Obtain National Tax Number (NTN):

Apply for an NTN with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) by submitting Form 181 (application for NTN) and required supporting documents. You can apply online or visit the nearest Regional Tax Office (RTO) or Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) to complete the process.

Register for Sales Tax:

If your tourism company offers services subject to sales tax, you need to register for sales tax with the FBR. Submit Form STR-1 (Sales Tax Registration Form) along with the required documents to the relevant RTO or LTU.

Obtain NOC and License:

Contact the local tourism authority or provincial tourism department to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and a license to operate as a tourism company. Provide the necessary documents, including company registration certificate, NTN, and relevant permits.

Register with Department of Tourist Services (DTS):

Register your tourism company with the Department of Tourist Services of the provincial government where you intend to operate. Submit the required documents and pay the registration fee.

Obtain Relevant Permits:

Depending on the nature of your tourism activities, you may need additional permits or licenses. For example, if you plan to organize adventure tourism or operate a travel agency, you may need specific permits from the relevant authorities.

Bank Account and Insurance:

Open a business bank account in the name of your tourism company. Consider obtaining appropriate insurance coverage to protect your business and clients.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Fulfill your tax obligations, maintain proper financial records, and submit required reports to regulatory authorities as per the prescribed timelines.
